Super Bowl kickoff bash 'a good party' Beth Duckett The Arizona Republic Oct. 29, 2007 12:00 AM Arizona football fans wasted no time soaking up the Super Bowl spirit Saturday, when thousands converged at Glendale's Westgate City Center for the first Countdown to Kick off Party. Event planners expected upwards of 8,000 fans at the afternoon party set to run until 10 p. m. near Loop 101 and Glendale Avenu The party marked the 100-day countdown until the big game Feb. 3 at nearby University of Phoenix Stadium. "The idea is to have an event before the game to get people excited," said Bob Sullivan, president of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee.
