Description Have you ever watched a bulldozer in action, 100% pure power, this monster machine is king of the construction site. Fantastic, Frightening, Fun! On arrival you will be given a safety briefing and course introduction. The bulldozer that you will operate is actually used to maintain our off road 4 x 4 tracks so you may actually have a real job to do with the machine. You will have an instructor beside you at all times who will teach you how to drive the machine. Choosing the correct gear for the job and steering using levers rather than a steering wheel make this a unique driving experience. Your aim will be to move as much earth as you can without overloading the machine and causing it to stall. Master the technique, and who knows you may be able to take on Cindy Kuby. Cindy can spin a 50-ton bulldozer in a tight circle. She can lift and dump 10,000 pounds of dirt with a loader in a single scoop and dig a 15 foot hole in 20 minutes with a backhoe.

InRob Tech Ltd. Remotely Controlled D9 Bulldozer to be Used in Daily Military Operations

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has a special robotics unit of its engineering corps that is responsible for the operation of InRob Tech's D9 bulldozer. The remotely controlled armored D9 is being used in sensitive operations and border locations where human lives are in danger, for such tasks as clearing landmines, mounting sand barriers, building fortifications, and opening routes to armored fighting vehicles and infantry. Ben Tsur Joseph, InRob Tech's CEO, says "We are pleased to have completed our first sale of the remote control system for D9 after finishing the trials. It is a vote of confidence of the IDF in our capabilities to produce superb quality in such a complex application. Having made this sale to the IDF gives us the endorsement we need to market the D9 bulldozer to militaries around the world." For example, the U. S. Army has purchased several D9 armor kits from Israel and used them to produce similarly fortified D9 They have been successfully put to use for similar purposes both in the Gulf War and in Iraq. This gives InRob further reason to be optimistic on the development of this market. The first system was developed under contract for approximately $170,000 and it is expected that follow up orders will be made in the coming months at a unit price of over $100,000. When it comes to bulldozing, bigger really is better. The bigger the dozer the more efficiently they work and the more aggregate they can shove. This page is about the largest and most productive dozer in the world, by a factor of two. The Worlds biggest and most powerful (production) Bulldozer is the D575A-3SD built by Komatsu in Ishikawa, Japan. Standing 16 feet tall, 41 feet long and 24 feet wide the D575A-3SD is the king of power when it comes to shifting aggregate. When the need arises to clear away large amounts of rubble, rock or earth then the D575A-3SD is the machine of choice. Komatsu offers industry the reliability with advanced technology with advanced Hydraulics, power train, frame and all other factors that make a great dozer are to be found on the D575A-3SD The business end of the super dozer is the blade that does all the work shoving the rubble etc, the D575A-3SD's blade covers a colossal 90 cubic yards and can shove or indeed pull 480,000 pounds of mass. Its alright when the rubble is just there to be shoved away but what if the ground that needs to be leveled off more cannot be blasted by dynamite to loosen it? In some areas blasting of rock is prohibited due to the close proximity of residential areas, so the D575A-3SD is called in to rip up the earth instead. The picture below shows the D575A with the ripper arm extended, the ripper is like a big steel spike that is hydraulically pushed into the ground, the bulldozer then drives forwards and the spike literally tears or rips up the ground.
